Visitor Information

We are located at 133 North Beech Street in Hillsboro next to Merchants National Bank. One handicap-accessible parking space is located directly in front of the building, with additional street parking available in the surrounding blocks.

The Records Center is ADA accessible. Service Dogs welcome.

Open from 7:30-4:00 Monday-Friday; closed on Federal holidays. The Records Center & Archives welcomes students, staff, researchers, and the general public. However, we ask that researchers under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult. Due to our small size, we cannot accommodate individuals not conducting research.

Please place all record requests by 3:00 to give our staff time to reshelve records and prepare for the next business day; however, you are welcome to stay in the reference area until close.

If you would like to submit your requests in advance, we do our best to prepare your materials by an agreed-upon time so that you don’t have to wait.

To safeguard our historical documents, the following items are prohibited in the Records center & Archives:

  • Food & drink
  • Chewing gum
  • Pens, markers, colored pencils, or highlighters
  • Stickers, self-adhesive tabs, or notes

We want to hear from you.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will never collect information about you without your explicit consent.
